ADHD Assessments

Yes, we provide comprehensive ADHD assessments for both children (from age 6) and adults across Victoria. Our assessments follow current best-practice guidelines and include:

  • Detailed clinical interviews with the individual and family members/collateral sources
  • Standardized rating scales and questionnaires
  • Cognitive and attention testing
  • Behavioral observations
  • Review of developmental history and current functioning
  • Differential diagnosis consideration
  • Comprehensive written report with evidence-based recommendations

A comprehensive ADHD assessment typically requires 3-5 hours of assessment time, usually conducted across 2-3 sessions. This includes:

  • Initial consultation: 60-90 minutes (clinical interview and history taking)
  • Testing session: 2-3 hours (cognitive testing, attention measures, questionnaires)
  • Feedback session: 60 minutes (discussing results and recommendations)

Report preparation typically takes 2-3 weeks following assessment completion. We provide detailed, comprehensive reports suitable for treatment planning, school support, or workplace accommodations.

Following an ADHD assessment, you will receive a comprehensive report that includes:

  • Clear diagnostic conclusions based on DSM-5-TR criteria
  • Evidence-based treatment recommendations
  • Strategies for home, school, or workplace
  • Referrals to appropriate support services (if needed)
  • Information about medication options (to discuss with GP or psychiatrist)

We can also provide letters for schools, employers, or other professionals, and consultation to support implementation of recommendations.

Autism Spectrum Assessments

Our Principal Psychologist, Belinda Ellis, is highly qualified with:

  • AHPRA Registration as a Psychologist
  • AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor status
  • Over 20 years of specialist experience in forensic and assessment psychology
  • Senior leadership experience in Victorian Government (including management of Victoria's Statewide Sex Offender Programs)
  • Chief Practice Officer experience in major not-for-profit mental health organisations
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and Business
  • Expertise in forensics, mental health, child development, disability, and organisational psychology

We typically respond to enquiries within 24-48 hours during business days (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).

Payment options vary by service type:

  • Medicare: Some services may be eligible for Medicare rebates with a valid GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan. Please discuss with us during booking.
  • NDIS: We can provide services for NDIS participants with psychology or capacity building supports in their plan. We are registered NDIS providers.
  • Private Health Insurance: Many services may be claimable through private health insurance with psychology coverage.
  • Private Payment: Direct payment options available for all services.

We require 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.
